America’s Christians

14 Apr

The scriptures tells us that Jesus will not come again until His Gospel has been preached to all corners of the world. This means every single tiny, remote village in the third world. Those who practice witchcraft and voodoos need to hear the gospel just as much as your spiritually lost neighbor. There are still people who do not have a Bible printed in their own language. This should be shocking to every Christian. There is no justifying this in the 21 century with all our modern technology.

There are countries where owning a Bible is illegal. People are beaten or killed and their homes burned. Bibles are confiscated daily and destroyed.  Yet, Christians in America are by and large blinded to the atrocities against believers outside our borders. There are Christian missionaries who cannot travel the globe for lack of  financial support. Our churches are supposed to sponsor missionaries and as members, we should be faithfully supporting them. Not just give only during those times when we have some extra money.  If it isn’t a priority, then you are really giving reluctantly. God’s knows our hearts. America was once the richest country in the world. It is now trillions of dollars in debt. The cost of living keeps skyrocketing. Many of us are just 1 or 2 paychecks away from poverty, from foreclosure, from having our lights turned off. The economy is in terrible shape and it’s not going to get better. Both secular and Christian analysts agree. We are taxed to death. America is no longer a prosperous nation.  Those who have studied end-times prophecies say America is nowhere mentioned in the Book of Revelations. What happened?

What are you hanging on to your money for? A brand new car? A boat? A bigger house? All those things you can’t take with you when you die? Where are your freewill offerings? Malachi 3:10 says: “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

What an awesome blessing!

Your call for money to promote a Bible in every hand is an admiral goal but, as the saying goes, “we both know better”. Teachers, preachers, evangelists and hucksters have been making the same cry for oh so long.
Having said that may I direct you to a portion of Gods word that has cleared this dilemma up for me, and perhaps it will be of aid to you as well. Revelations 14:6, (in context for clarity)

Rev 14:1 And I looked, and lo, the Lamb stood on Mount Zion. And with Him were a hundred and forty-four thousands, having His Father’s name written in their foreheads.
Rev 14:2 And I heard a voice from Heaven, like the voice of many waters and like the voice of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.
Rev 14:3 And they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousands who were redeemed from the earth.
Rev 14:4 These are those who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb.
Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile, for they were without blemish before the throne of God.

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those dwelling on the earth, even to every nation and kindred and tongue and people,

Rev 14:7 saying with a great voice, Fear God and give glory to Him! For the hour of His judgment has come. And worship Him who made the heaven and the earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

      Thank you for commenting.

Revelations Chapter 4 deals with the time of the tribulation. An angel is making the call for people to repent and come to Christ. However, in the present age, as in the past, Christ’s command to all Christians is to spread the gospel. Every tongue should have the word of God. Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

      God bless!
